KILROY uses social media channels to reach out to its users and seek permission to feature favorite content on all of its channels. The content is gathered/selected through users adding specific branded hashtags or specific UGC-focused hashtags to content uploaded on and through their own profile.
These terms of use will be shared with all users of which KILROY seeks permission to feature content of. KILROY will only feature content of which it has received an explicit permission of the user. This permission will be gathered through direct messages send to the user through social media.
By giving permission, the user grants KILROY an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide and non-exclusive right to use the user generated content on its social media pages. The user keeps the complete ownership of the content in all cases and will be credited in all situations KILROY features the content on its own channels. KILROY has the right to use the user’s username, image and descriptions added to the content. If you wish to claim one or more of your rights, please contact us at [email protected].
The user confirms to not being a minor and to own and/or have obtained appropriate rights and permissions from all other persons and/or entities who own, manage or otherwise claim any rights with respect to the specific content.
The featured content will be used by KILROY in relation with its business, including marketing, product feature, promotional, advertising and other consumer-related activities. KILROY has the right to remove any featured user generated content from its channels. No branded hashtags can be used on any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, indecent, threatening, harassing, hateful, or offensive. Processing of your personal data
If you choose to use the hashtag provided by KILROY on your social media, KILROY may process personal data about you, including your username and the picture in which you have used the hashtag. KILROY International A/S, Nytorv 5, 1450 Copenhagen, Denmark ("KILROY"), will be the data controller for the processing of such personal data about you.
The purpose of the processing of your personal data is to brand KILROY and to provide content KILROY deems to be relevant in all their channels.
The legal basis for such processing is KILROY's legitimate interests in branding itself and its services, including providing relevant content to its followers (article 6 (1) (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation). It is our assessment that your interests are not considered to override our legitimate interests, as you choose voluntarily to use the hashtag on your social media profile.
The data processing retention period to the above purpose is 60 months after the receival of your consent.
Your personal data will be disclosed on KILROY's communication channels, provided that KILROY chooses to use your picture.
Your personal data will be deleted when KILROY assesses that the content no longer is relevant for KILROY, or if you request deletion and KILROY assesses that such request must be accommodated.
