Margaret River Escape Package (Twin/Double Room - Min. 2 Pax)

On day one we make the scenic drive from Perth with a few stops along the way. Firstly the charming seaside town of Mandurah, where we’ll take a coffee break at a café by the foreshore. Then Bunbury where we’ll visit the Featured Wood Gallery & museum, then onto Busselton where we stop for a delicious lunch.  Following lunch we take a leisurely walk along the famous Busselton Jetty, the longest timber pile jetty in the southern hemisphere stretching 1.8km out into picturesque Geographe Bay. After stretching our legs at the jetty we turn for Margaret River where you’ll have some free time in town to stroll along the main street and maybe pick-up a special memento or gift to take home. As the day winds down we head to the McLeod family farm to see mobs of Western Grey Kangaroos in their natural environment, we might even meet Neil’s friendly horses… Before settling into your accomodation we take a drive to the coast for spectacular views of world class surf breaks, Margaret River hosts the best surfers in the world during April/May each year for the “Margaret River Pro”. In spring, we have the opportunity to see a spectacular display of native wildflowers on a short bush walk. As the day Your night will be spent in comfort at the four-star Margarets Beach Resort (by the coast) or stay at Margarets Forest (in the town centre) or similar standard of accommodation. Evening meal at own expense.

Day two is packed with food, wine and cultural highlights, as we join the popular Eat + Drink + Explore Tour. After breakfast at the very popular beachside cafe the White Elephant we set out on a day spent indulging in wine, beer, coffee, cheese, olive oil and condiments, and everyone’s favourite – chocolate! Lunch is at a stunning local brewery where we’ll also enjoy a complimentary crafted brew, or some lovely local wine. We return for the evening to your accommodation at around 5:00pm, where you’ll be able to relax after a busy day and dine at your leisure (evening meal at own expense). 

Day Three is our third and final day, on which we’ll explore the region’s stunning scenery and fantastic natural and cultural attractions on a Forest, Cave & Lighthouse Tour. After breakfast at the White Elephant we make our way south to Redgate Beach, where you’ll hear stories of shipwrecks and other tales of the region. The tour goes underground at the spectacular Mammoth Cave, one of just a few caves in the south west which contains fossils. A scenic drive through the majestic Boranup Forest  will take us to Boranup Gallery, showcasing beautiful and creative wood designs and furniture. Tea and coffee can be purchased from the Boranup Gallery Café – the homemade scones are a favourite! We pass through Augusta with stunning views of the Blackwood River before arriving at the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, where we’ll take a guided tour and spot the point where the Southern and Indian oceans meet. Watch out for whales – southern right, humpback and blue whales are often spotted! We stop for lunch and a tea or coffee at the Deck Chair Café in Augusta. After lunch we depart for your transfer back to Perth.  Dropping off at your hotel in the city at approx. 6.00pm
