Hostel Wombat is located in an older builder with a central location in Budapest just a few minutes from the shopping area.

Hostel Wombat is a former 4-star hotel, which the reception and the large lobby also indicates.

The hostel offers a 24-hour reception, lift, common kitchen, luggage storage, and free wi-fi. Connected to the reception you also find a big common lounge area with a pool table. The common area is also used for breakfast where the buffet is served between 7.00 and 10.30. In the common area there is also a cozy bar, which is open between 18.00 and 02.00.

The group will be staying in four- to eight-bed rooms with bunk beds. There are showers and toilets in all rooms as well as air condition, lockers, and hair dryers. Bed linen is included, but you must bring your own towels.

Please note that your bus cannot drive all the way to the hostel, but will drop you off about 200 m away. A 10 Euro deposit p.p. is paid upon arrival. This is refunded if the rooms and hotel have not damaged during the stay.
  • A+: Very nice hotel standard and high comfort, 3- or 4-star hotels with extensive facilities.
  • A: Good tourist class hotels with private facilities in the rooms. Most likely also TV, Wi-Fi and other facilities.
  • B+: Very good youth hotels with wide range of facilities or ordinary tourist class hotels. All rooms with private facilities.
  • B: Youth hotels of reasonable standard. Most rooms have private facilities.
  • C: Hostels or simple youth hotels, often with shared facilities.
