Are you wishing to get a full Patagonian experience? You can begin your trip arriving to El Calafate airport and then going to El Chalten, Argentina´s hikers paradise. There you can explore on your own the northern section of Los Glaciares National park. After El Chalten there is a bus connection to go back to El Calafate to be able to visit the world famous Perito Moreno Glacier, the jewel of the park. After some days there, the next part of the trip is Puerto Natales, a small town in southern Chile, gateway of Torres del Paine national park, a natural wonder of endless beauty.

Patagonia Highlights - 9 Days

Day 1: El Chalten

Arrival at El Calafate airport. Shuttle from airport to El Chalten accommodation. If arriving by bus, bus from El Calafate to El Chalten. Check in at accommodation.

Days 2-3: El Chalten

Free days to discover the self guided treks of Glaciers Nationl Park, north section. From the village you can take a series of marked trails that will lead you to the Laguna de los Tres, to the base of Mount Fitz Roy, or to Cerro Torre. Beautiful, easy and you can trek as much as you want.

Day 4: El Calafate

Check out, go on your own to the bus station and take the 08:00 bus to El Calafate. Arrival at 11:00. Make your own way to your accommodation nd check in.

Day 5: El Calafate, Los Glacieres National Park

Perito Moreno Glacier Day Tour - El Calafate
This Perito Moreno Glacier tour is a wonderful opportunity for travelers to explore and experience one of Argentina’s top attractions! This day tour into the Los Glaciares National Park offers exceptional views of Patagonia’s most famous glacier, the incredible Perito Moreno as you are guided along the wooden walk ways. The Perito Moreno full day excursion will begin taking you from central El Calafate towards the Los Glaciares National Park, an area of exceptional natural beauty and a UNESCO National Heritage site. This is the classic tour to sightsee the Perito Moreno Glacier and the best option to get an overview and see it from above. A full-day tour through Los Glaciares National Park, in which Perito Moreno lies, it gives you the chance to really appreciate the glacier’s sheer magnitude, as you walk across the Pasarelas (heightened wooden walk ways) along the shores of Lake Argentino. Following the Perito Moreno tour circuit you will finally reach the boardwalks of the Perito Moreno Glacier, where you will have three hours to explore and sightsee Perito Moreno’s enormous 60-meter wall of ice floating on the surface of Lake Argentino.

Day 6: El Calafate

Free day to relax before moving south or to take an optional tour in the area.

Day 7: Puerto Natales

Check out and find your own way to the bus station. Tkke the bus from El Calafate to Puerto Natales. Arrival to the bus station at about 13 hs but times are variable because it depends on border crossing times. Find your own way to your accommodation.

Day 8: Puerto Natales - Torres del Paine National Park

At 08:15. Full day Torres del Paine excursion.
Be impressed with the beauty of Torres del Paine, in a day full of adventure close to nature.
Tourist Attractions visited: Road to Cerro Castillo, Laguna Figueroa, Mountains surrounding National Park Torres del Paine, Serrano River, Lake and Glacier Grey Cordillera Paine, Laguna Amarga, Cerro Castillo. Watching various species of flora and fauna.

Day 9: End of itinerary, Punta Arenas

Breakfast and check out. Find your own way to the bus station to take the bus to Punta Arenas Airport or to Punta Arenas town. You can also take a bus back to El Calafate, at an extra cost (not included).
