We pick you up from your accommodation in Gauteng or Johannesburg Airport between 07-09:00. If you are not arriving in the early morning, pre-night accommodation is required. Kruger Park is 570 km from Johannesburg, which is around 7-8 hours travel time including breaks en-route, but you can marvel at the Highveld grasslands while we journey to the subtropical Lowveld. At Tremisana Game Lodge in the Balule section of the Kruger National Park you have time to unwind at the bar, enjoy a refreshing dip in our pool and relax in the beautiful tropical gardens before we board an open landcruiser for a 3-hour sunset drive. This is your first opportunity to experience the varied fauna and flora of Africa. We enjoy watching the magnificent African sunset and, after dark, use spotlights to locate nocturnal animals. Dinner will be an unforgettable bush 'braai' deep in the African bush. After dinner we continue with a night drive. (D)

It's an early morning departure for the Olifants River where a qualified ranger will conduct an exciting 4-hour walk in the wild - adrenaline surges are guaranteed, even if your ranger is adequately armed. Enjoy this prolonged opportunity to discover and savour the Bushveld’s secrets on foot. You will get a fantastic opportunity to track Africa’s big animals and approach close enough to take a good photo. Return to Tremisana for brunch. After high tea at 13:30, board the open Landcruiser at 14:30 for a 2-hour game drive. Dinner will be at Marc’s Treehouse Lodge. (B, D)

Hop on a custom-built open-sided game viewer to drive to the Orpen Gate of Kruger and get the opportunity to view game without glass windows between them and you. You can listen to and smell the denizens of the African bush. During our drive we have regular stops at picnic spots, rest camps and places of interest. The Orpen-Satara-Nwanedzi of Kruger Park boasts open plains and supports large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope, which then again attracts numerous lions and other predators. The zones we will visit have the highest concentration of lions throughout Africa! (B, D)

After breakfast we visit the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre, where injured and orphaned animals and birds receive medical treatment. There you get the opportunity to get close to some of the centre’s residents such as lions and leopards. In the afternoon we drive to a Big 5 Game Lodge and go on another open vehicle game drive. Start the day with a game walk at sunrise before breakfast is served. Afterwards, we drive up the Panorama Route to see the scenic splendours including the Three Rondawels and the Blyde River Canyon. Return to Johannesburg will be in the late afternoon. Airport drop-off can be arranged if requested. (B)
