We call le Pin Sec a European secret. If you want to have the waves for yourself, relax, do some yoga and have a great beach party once a week, then this is the place to be. Le Pin Sec's camping site is located just behind the dunes, next to the ocean. It’s about an hour drive from Bordeaux and lies in the famous wine area of Les Medoc. Lacanau, famous for its surf contests, is also just 30 minutes away.

After you've been to Le Pin Sec, you'll want to come back. This surf camp is for people who want to enjoy nature, relax at the beach and surf as much as possible. It’s all about the beach, surfing and chilling with people. If you want to avoid mass tourism, this is your spot.

Inclusions
Accommodation in shared tents (including bedding and mattress)

Use of surf material (wetsuit + surfboard)
Surf lessons 12X45 minutes (10 practical units and 2 theoretical units) or 22X45 minutes per week (20 practical units and 2 theoretical units). Your amount of surfing lessons is depending on how many you have booked.

Ferðaáætlun

Most people arrive and depart our surf camp on Saturdays, but we can make exceptions with arrivals on Fridays and Sundays if this is due to flights. The itinerary below can vary according to wave conditions and weather conditions. There are also yoga lessons 5 times a week that are not included in the program, but will be available free of charge.

Day of arrival. You be given a tent and one of our team members will explain where everything is located at on the camp site and in town. Now you are ready to explore the beaches or take a walk into town. You could also just hang out at the camp and try some of the games we have on offer or just relax.

Dinner will be at 19:00 or 19:30 and afterwards, there will be a meeting around 21:00 where we explain the upcoming week and you will be introduced to our team.

This is your first day of surf lessons. First thing after breakfast, you will receive a wetsuit that you will use for the rest of the week. Then you will be assigned to a group according to your surfing level. You will have a one or two surf sessions these days, depending on what course you booked.

After the first day of surfing you will be probably tired, so you can choose to chill or participate in the activities our team organizes at the afternoon.

It is your second day of surfing and if you are a beginner surfer, you will be learning how to stand up by today. After the surf session we will have a beach volleyball tournament.

In the evening, we might have some drinks in the camp and go into town or to the beach for some guitar sessions.

Today we will be spending most of our time surfing and focusing on improving your skills. Chilling is allowed as well, and beach walks are a must for shell lovers.

Yes, its surf time again and if you still have energy after lessons, you can go out and surf by yourself. In the afternoon you will learn a bit of surf theory so you do not only know how to stand on a board, but also have some knowledge for the future.

Today it’s full on surfing again, but this time you not only have your normal surf lessons but also a Sunset Surf, which is one of the week’s highlights.

Furthermore, the campsite allows to make noise until 01:00, so we can have some loud fun in the camp.

On Fridays, we usually have a surf contest after lessons and the winner will receive a prize after dinner. It’s your last night at camp (unless you have booked a two week stay) so we will make it a memorable evening with some great music, partying and much more.

Departure day, but if you have booked a two week stay, then you can just grab your gear and go and surf with your new friends that you met in camp.

Our Surf Camp is located just 50 m from the beach on a campsite where we have built our little tent town. We offer chill out areas, dining tents, and games such as pool, table tennis, volleyball, slack line etc. Accommodation is in tents that are 3m x 3m and 2,10m high so you can stand. All the tents have wooden floors as they are built on platforms, and not straight on the ground for better comfort. You will share the tent another person and we never mix men and women together unless you are a couple, friends or request it. A mattress, sheets, pillow and blanket are included so you don’t need to bring anything but your pyjamas as nights sometimes get cold. Your tent also includes a solar lamp that we give to you at the beginning of your stay and you must return it at the end of your stay. The facilities (toilets, showers) are shared with others on the campsite. There is a deposit of EUR 25 per person for the tent that will be returned to you if everything is fine at the end of your stay.

No transfers are included so you can choose for yourself how to get to the surf camp.

For a successful week of surfing, good nutrition to provide enough energy is a must. That’s why at our surf camp in Le Pin Sec, three healthy and tasty meals are included every day. Let us take the hassle out of organising meals whilst on holiday.

Start every morning right with our Continental breakfast buffet. The choice is extensive and includes cereals, meats and cheeses, freshly baked baguettes, fruits, yoghurts, and spreads. To accompany your breakfast there’s freshly brewed coffee, teas and juices. No worries about having to rush to make breakfast because the buffet runs for two hours, granting you enough time for a lie in.

When lunchtime comes around you needn’t worry about returning from the beach. At breakfast you’ll prepare yourself a packed lunch to take with you for the day. It’s a good feeling knowing that when you get out the water you’ve got lunch already packed in your bag to enjoy before an afternoon surf. To protect your lunch, and help reduce plastic usage, we suggest that you bring a lunchbox with you to transport your lunch to the beach.

Every night, you can enjoy a delicious hot dinner, with accompanying salad and dessert. Dinnertime is a great chance to discuss the days' waves with fellow surfers, and make plans for the upcoming days.

Once a week, our team will need your help to prepare the food, move it or to wash the dishes after dinner or breakfast. Thank you!

There are also vegetarian and vegan options available. Please indicate this, and any allergies that you may have, at the time of booking.

Plates, bowls, mugs and cutlery are provided at our camp.

Unfortunately, guests are unable to use the kitchen for hygiene reasons.
