About Your Location

Bled is located in the north-western corner of Slovenia near the border of Austria and Italy, right on the edge of Triglav National Park and the Julian Alps. It’s a perfect playground for outdoor activities and adventures with a unique diversity of crystal clear rivers, lakes and canyons surrounded by lush green mountains. Bled town is a great starting point for numerous explorations of the great outdoors that are within the reach of a few minutes' drive from the town.

This tour from our 3glav Adventures office, located in the very center of Bled, right opposite main Post office. Meeting location is within a reach of 5-10 minutes walking distance from pretty much most accommodation options in Bled town:

Itinerary

Hot air balloon flights are only possible in early mornings, just after the sunrise (usually around 06:00).

Hot air ballooning is a very weather dependent activity and we usually find out if we'll be flying one evening before the flight or even in the same morning. It's recommended to have a spare day or two, if conditions will not allow to fly with balloon on your reserved / preferred date.

Exact departure times of ballooning flights are issued one evening before this activity and will be sent to your e-mail address.

This hot air balloon tour departs at designated time and it's recommended to be at meeting point no earlier than 5 minutes before departure and no later than exact departure time.

Getting to Bled
From Ljubljana Airport: The airport is around 40 km from Bled. There are regular public buses to Bled running every hour (5 min past the hour). The bus costs approximately 5 EUR one way and takes 30 min.

From Ljubljana City Centre: Our capital Ljubljana is located around 55 km from Bled which is about 1 hour and 20 minutes away by bus. Buses from the main bus station run every hour (on the full hour) and cost approximately 7 EUR one way.

From Bled Train Station: The train station is about 4 km from Bled town and all international train lines to Slovenia stop there. From the train station you can catch a bus to Bled town. The bus station is just across the street from Lesce-Bled train station and the buses run every 30 min. The ticket costs approximately 2 EUR one way, and you can buy one from the driver.

Getting to/from the Activity
Return transfer from Bled is included. We will pick you up in front of your accommodation in Bled.

Sporty/running shoes
Warm, comfortable/sporty clothes. Generally it will not be any colder in the air during the balloon flight than on the ground. We suggest you wear layered clothing that can be removed as the day warms up.
